Renowned architect Francesco Sammut created the Palazzo Nasciaro as a family residence that his son would someday inherit. During the British era, the site was the Lieutenant’s residence. It later functioned as a primary school and a police station. The 13,000 square foot property has a variety of opulent buildings that, even in modern times, bear witness to the original owner’s immense fortune.

Before British writer Paul Golding sold his London home and devoted the next seven years of his life to trying to rehabilitate the villa in Malta, the area had stood abandoned for twenty-five years. He listed the house for sale after giving it his own contemporary makeover, and it is currently for sale.
