During her 1961 visit to Iran, Queen Elizabeth II received a whole suite of furniture as a gift from Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the country’s ruler from 1941 until 1979.

The set includes “a screen with a wool tapestry of Elizabeth II, an inkstand, two boxes, and an armchair with an intricate sadeli geometric pattern,” according to the Middle East Eye. The Queen has been instrumental in the Shah’s ascent to power over the years.
