One of Princess Diana’s most famous performances was her duet with Wayne Sleep at the Royal Opera House in 1985. She gave her husband, King Charles, a dance for the charity function “Friends of Covent Garden,” which was held just before Christmas in that particular year.

According to Diana’s partner, Wayne Sleep, it was to the Billy Joel song “Uptown Girl,” which caused the audience to “gasp” when Diana arrived.
