Every royal wedding must have a personal poem written by the English Poet Laureate, according to tradition. Motion penned “Spring Wedding” for King Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall’s Camilla Bowles wedding in 2005. But his use of the phrases “the heart which slips” and “winter-wreckage” caused some people to take notice—certainly including the Queen.
