Another treasure that was discovered by chance on this list is the Sroda Treasure. Contractors were renovating the Silesian settlement of Sroda, Slaska, Poland, in the 1980s. The workers unearthed hidden wealth from the mid-1300s while excavating an old building.

Three thousand pieces of silver coins made up the treasure from the fourteenth century. The objects were unlike any other treasures in the world; therefore, it was difficult to assign a value to them. Some placed the value of the Sroda Treasure far beyond eight and nine figures. The majority of the artifacts from this trove are on exhibit at the Sroda Town Museum.
