Another name for the baroque Liu Family Mansion is the Minxiong Ghost House. It’s one of the most well-known haunted places in Taiwan. The Ghost House is located close to Chiayi in a rural area. The Liu Family unexpectedly left the mansion, and since then, the three-story house has grown overgrown with plants on the outside. No one has lived there.

Numerous tales exist regarding the precise reason behind the Liu Family’s departure. Popular stories include the madness of the Liu matriarch due to a romance involving a maid.
