This image of Norway’s Atlantic Road was captured by Dmitry Tkachenko. This aerial photograph offers a stunning look of what, for many people, is simply another typical day of travel. A 5-mile section of County Road 64 is known as Atlantic Road (also known as the Atlantic Ocean Road). It passes through the towns of Hustadvika and Averoy, as well as an archipelago in More og Romsdal.

Since its construction in July 1989, Atlantic Road has withstood numerous extreme weather events, such as multiple hurricanes and subfreezing cold.
