The power facility at Hinkley Point C, which is now under construction, will rank among the biggest nuclear plants in the world. Construction financing was supplied by EDF, a state-owned company mostly held by French citizens. Following that, in 2015, the Chinese state-owned company CGN consented to invest roughly one-third of the project’s total cost.

With a sixty-year lifespan, the Hinkley Point C power station is likely to continue producing jobs for years to come. By 2020, the project had already created 10,300 jobs, and it is anticipated that it will ultimately create at least another 15,000 jobs. It is not surprising, given that the facility will eventually be larger than eight hundred football fields. It is anticipated that this project will take an additional five years to finish.
