When it comes to safety gear, you can never be too careful. It is generally agreed upon that, in order to ensure they are still functioning properly in the event of an emergency, bike helmets without any bumps should be updated every three to five years.
If you take the chance of not replacing them, you can receive a harsh shock in the event of an accident. Inadequately maintained helmets have the potential to split, fracture, or simply cease to protect your skull in the manner for which they were intended.
