Divers in Lake Labynkyr in Siberia, Russia, found the bones of an unidentified “Sea Devil.” In the 1800s, locals first claimed that a demon resided in the lake; in 2013, those allegations were proven to be true.

Thousands of feet below the icy water’s surface, at the bottom of the lake, were the enormous jaw and skeleton. It was unclear from the scan that divers took of the “Sea Devil” if it was a gigantic fish, reptile, amphibian, or something else because it didn’t reveal a lot of information.
