Right in Davis’ own backyard, historian Clare Forbes and his friend Davis found the horestone. An ancient Bronze Age burial site about 2,500 B.C. is marked by this standing stone. The horestone is believed to possess magical abilities; therefore, Davis’ discovery that it was in excellent, undamaged condition was a comfort. According to Davis, the horestone retains the aura of a mystical “pagan shrine” despite being in existence for thousands of years.
