Nothing will motivate you to start digging in your yard if this doesn’t. A man from Austria was turning dirt in his backyard in the spring of 2011 when he came across a treasure trove. Hundreds upon hundreds of pieces of jewelry, including 200 rings, elaborate belt buckles, brooches, silver plates, and more, were packed within the hoard.

Numerous pieces had pearls, fossilized coral, and other priceless elements embedded in them. After evaluation, the items were determined to be approximately 650 years old. The Austrian authorities referred to the find as one of the “most significant” finds of Middle Age riches in Austrian history, despite never having placed a monetary value on it.
