The Merchant Royal was found to have contained $500 million worth of gold and silver coins, but it is estimated that the ship was worth billions when it capsized. Treasure Quest, a television program, even followed the group looking for the merchant in the late 2000s while they searched for it. The location of the Merchant Royal is still unknown.
