During the Second World War’s Operation Hailstone, in which the US Navy fought the Japanese Navy in the Pacific, more than a hundred ships capsized into the Truk Lagoon. Today, the location serves as an underwater war museum housing numerous salvageable Zero Fighter parts, ranging from machine gun ammunition to wings.
