A large crystal cluster like this one is extremely rare and worth millions of dollars, while a piece of clear quartz costs only $14 on Amazon. The Berns Quartz and other deeply buried crystal veins inside the Arkansas mountain range were likely exposed when the Ouachita Mountains began to erode millions of years ago, leading to the formation of the cluster.
