Scientists observed tectonic plate movement on the moon. In theory, this movement would have formed fissures in the 10-mile deep, glacial ocean surrounding Europe. There are already plans for future expeditions to test the theory. If so, there is a chance that beneath the heavy layer of ice there may be warmer, life-sustaining water.
