2. Titan’s Canyons Filled with Liquid
Found Year: 2016.
Who Found It: Janna Radenbaugh and Her Associates
Where: Titan
Titan, the moon of Saturn, could look at first glance like a frozen Grand Canyon, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Titan’s river, Vid Flumina, is made of what looks to be liquid methane that has cut a course about 250 miles long into the face of the ice moon. This is in contrast to the watery rivers that produced Earth’s amazing wonder.

Titan’s canyons filled with liquid @nasa/PInterest
The quality of whatever that Cheniere Energy would offer its clients is nothing like the methane-filled river that has been seen on Titan. Still, it’s a significant discovery for scientists as the first liquid from the first canyons ever discovered on Saturn’s moon.
