12. Tiny Stars
Found Year: 2017.
Researchers from the University of Cambridge made the discovery.
Location: Triple Star System EBLM J0555-57
The number of stars in the sky exceeds the number of sand grains on Earth. While some stars are barely big enough to act as stars should, others are in charge of creating the orbital structures of entire planetary systems. One of these marginally functioning stars is EBLM J0555-57Ab, a red dwarf star that is part of the EBLM J0555-57 triple star system.

Unbelievably, a group of researchers from the University of Cambridge found EBLM J0555-57Ab in 2017, making it the tiniest star ever found—it is 250 times smaller than Saturn.
