Armed to the teeth, the Norinco Type 92, sometimes referred to as the WZ-551, is a wheeled personnel carrier. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has two distinct types of vehicles, both of which are covered by the 92. The 92 made their debut in the middle of the 1980s.

The Chinese military, however, was not impressed with the initial iteration and had to alter the design in order to strengthen the chassis. In 1995, over ten years after it was first introduced, the upgraded 92 was deployed in combat. Propellers that are covered can be used to propel the fully amphibious vehicle through the water. The Mercedes-Benz 2026 truck and the Type 92 have the same platform.
