A few people lost their lives attempting the treasure quest that Forrest Fenn, an eccentric man, invented. Years passed before someone was able to uncover what the former art mogul had buried, despite his invitations to treasure seekers.

The treasure that 300,000 people were unable to unearth was discovered by an unidentified medical student. The art dealer remarked that he was both “sad” and “glad” when the student figured out his code, and he published his treasure hunt hints in The Art of the Chase.
