11. Cursed Bag of Cash Found in Backyard
Where: Johnson City, Illinois
Year Found: 2011 Estimated Value: $150,000*
Wayne Sabaj had been out of work for two years when he found a nylon bag on his lawn that contained fifteen thousand dollars. Was the bag a boon or a bane, though? When Sabaj gave it to the police, they informed him that it would be returned to him at the end of 2012 if no one else claimed the money.

Dolores Johnson, Sabaj’s neighbor, asserted that she had disposed of the money because it was “cursed.” Shortly after informing the authorities about the cash’s curse, she passed away. Then came the deaths of Sabaj and his father. Conspiracy theorists maintained that the Curse of the Nylon Money Bag ultimately took the lives of him and two other individuals, despite his lawyer stating that there was no suspicion of foul play in his death. Maybe there will be a documentary on Hulu that traces the bag’s miserable beginnings.
