Both military and private use have been made of the Beechcraft Super King Air. The Beechcraft twin-turboprop made its maiden flight in late October of 1972. That year, it was used by the military; two years later, it was used by the general public. The United States Air Force, United States Army, and Royal Australian Air Force are the main military users.

These aircraft are also used by Australia’s Royal Flying Doctor Service. Beechcraft currently offers the 250 and 350i as its two Super King Air models for civilian use. Only customers in the military, government, and commercial sectors with specialized missions such as aerial surveys, flight inspections, surveillance, and air ambulances are eligible to use the 350ER.
