The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was sold to Blackstone Group for $1.73 billion in 2014, a year after it was named “The World’s Best Hotel” by Deutsche Bank, who had bought the project from 3700 Associates in 2008 for $1 billion.
The fourth season of Top Chef Master and the backdrop for The Killers’ “Shot at the Night” music video were two other ways that “The Cosmo” has influenced popular culture throughout the years.
