Estimated (DIY) Cost: $30–50*
Given that pickling has been done for centuries, it makes sense that the process is still going strong today. Though you have to give the creator credit for sheer deceit, this DIY endeavor is more akin to a horrible practical joke gone horribly wrong.

One technique to keep teddies fresh is to stuff them into pickle jars, but this isn’t exactly the most economical joke ever. The price of the jars, the juice, and the plush animals that would have to be purchased again make using traditional cling film over the toilet seat seem like a much simpler option.
But there’s no denying that the creator of them was aiming for awe-inspiringness. Imagine entering a room and discovering your closest friends from childhood compressed into jars. Granted, Kermit the Frog is upset, but when is he not? His eyes glisten with pickle juice even more.
