Cherry tomatoes are a wonderful addition to any soup, salad, or sauce, but cutting them one at a time can get a bit tedious. Fortunately, renowned chef Rachael Ray discovered a trick that allows you to cut a bunch of cherry tomatoes with only one stroke using a plastic lid.

Arrange the cherry tomatoes in a compact single layer on a chopping board. Next, cover the tomatoes with the plastic lid. Slice across the center, applying pressure to the lid. You can chop many cherry tomatoes into a single slice since the lid will hold them in place.
