Here’s how to distinguish between the two: Examine the suction cup’s insides. A soft, rubber flap that folds out from the inside of the cup is characteristic of a toilet plunger. The flap is meant to cover the drain on the toilet. There won’t be an extra piece of material in a red sink plunger.
