Although it can seem a little odd, you’ll get more value for your money. More slushy will fit within the lid, giving you more drinks for the same amount of money. Additionally, the cap still has a hole where you can insert your straw. You won’t ever again have to be concerned about overfilling.
The main drawback is that you won’t have as much protection against possible spills. Additionally, the lid may be prone to slipping due to its positioning. You’ll have to determine if the additional flavored ice is worthwhile or if the risk is simply too great.
