The LMV’s modular armor packs, which can be adjusted to provide the right amount of protection depending on the mission requirements, allow it to protect its occupants. The cleverly designed LMV now has nineteen inches of ground clearance without raising or lowering its total height. A v-hull beneath the body, suspended seats, and a collapsible sandwich structure in the LMV’s floor allow mine explosions to be absorbed and deflected.
