The 30mm chain gun can be slaved to the pilot’s helmet, allowing it to follow the pilot’s head movements wherever he or she looks. With its TADS/PNVS, GPS, and passive infrared countermeasures, among many other characteristics, the Apache is built to function on the front lines of combat. It is a formidable weapon.
