The Buffalo MRAP is shielded from RPG-7 anti-tank bullets by BAE Systems’ LROD cage armor. Every one of the six wheels has run-flat tires installed, and the glass armor is six inches thick. The Buffalo provides explosion and ballistic protection by using infrared technology to identify explosives before destroying them on its own.
