Try the Reward Method
Treats are a terrific tool for positive reinforcement—that is, for encouraging your dog to act appropriately—and for consistently rewarding it when it follows your directions will progressively establish a reasonable degree of discipline. Your dog must learn to come to you right away when you call out its name for both its safety—and your sanity. Give the dog a favourite treat first five to ten times it reacts to its name to educate it to do this.
Your dog will progressively grow so used to responding to your voice that it will finally do so without thinking about earning a treat in return.
