3. Medieval Balls Were Totally Like This

We know virtually nothing about the mediaeval times (or typically anything about history at all), hence this is exactly what we picture all those mediaeval balls were like. You know, those elegant dancing events attended by all revered members of feudal society would participate in. We’re not clear why this picture makes us think of it; maybe it’s just how royal and royal that dog seems. This, by the way, has more to do with the way this dog presents himself than with his beautiful, extravagant white fur. He exudes royalism in every aspect. Sure, without a doubt. Hard to overlook, he radiates majesty with his head raised high and elegant posture. Charming everyone around him, he seems poised to take front stage at a great ball. His grace reminds me of the grandeur of mediaeval feasts, when the best clothing and happy celebrations abound on the hallways. This picture takes us to a time of chivalry and courtly love, so inspiring yearning for an age we can only image. At this point the dog starts to represent timeless grace, reminding us that the most basic of creatures may have beauty and grandeur even in the modern environment.
