Inspired by their F1 car, Yamaha’s OX99-11 boasts a 3.5-liter V12 Formula 1 engine. The F1 vehicle’s fiber tub serves as the foundation for the chassis as well. Actually, this engine was supposed to power a road automobile that would have cost an incredible $800,000, but that idea was never carried out.

The project was delayed after multiple delays and arguments. Just three prototypes—one each in black, red, and green—were produced before the project was ultimately shelved in 1994 due to a number of problems, including the financial crisis in Japan.
