But in 1989, Nissan was hard at work developing a brand-new concept vehicle that appears to have been designed for the year 2017. To the joy of everybody in attendance, the Nissan Boga made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Show.

The Boga was well ahead of its time in many respects. The car’s profile was intentionally designed to provide passengers with additional space, and it also had fingerprint sensors for convenient access. Such sensors are commonplace today, but thirty years ago, they were considered a mind-altering characteristic. Sadly, the Boga was never produced in large quantities.
