The 9P138, a thirty-tube rocket launcher based on the BM-21 Grad, is also housed on the 131. The ZIL-131 was first released in the middle of the 1960s, and up until 2012, it was manufactured at the truck manufacturer AMUR. AMUR declared bankruptcy and closed its doors in 2012. In the 1960s, it cost $7,300–$8,300 to construct these trucks.
