The result of PAK FA’s fighter program is the single-seat, stealthy, multirole fighter jet known by its NATO reporting name, “Felon,” the Sukhoi Su-57. The first Russian combat aircraft equipped with stealth technology is the Su-57. Even though Sukhoi designed it, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant produces the aircraft.

Ten years after the aircraft’s first flight in 2010, it was given to the Russian Air Force. At a cost of $100 million, fourteen have been constructed thus far. Moscow has allocated $2.63 billion for these aircraft, a sum that many military analysts found surprising given how little it is. According to some officials, this could indicate that the Russians are developing and financing a brand-new stealth fighter.
