General Dynamics Land Systems is the manufacturer.
Principal Users: U.S. National Guard Program, Australian Army, and Canadian Army Building Bison and Coyotes will cost $3 billion. Each unit will cost $1.6 million.
The bison, a relative of the coyote, has existed since 1980. The Canadian Forces operate this General Dynamics Land Systems-built armored vehicle. The LAV-25 serves as the basis for the Bison, and because GDLS utilized that fundamental architecture, the vehicle’s design was completed in just one week.

Between the two, there are a few distinctions. The Bison has a modified seating arrangement, no turret rung, a higher ceiling, and a rail mount mechanism. Currently, the Canadian Army, Australian Army, and U.S. National Guard employ roughly 310 bisons. In the latter case, the bison is used to help the United States combat the illicit drug trade.
