With her camera, Brigitte Alcalay Marcon captured the very essence of “curiosity” against the backdrop of the frozen Arctic. Here, two polar bears, those icy behemoths of nature, appear enthralled by a fluttering butterfly rather than a seal or a fish. The younger bear appears to be attempting to mimic the butterfly’s waltz, as it raises one paw as if to start a dance.
