After spending $20 million, the Infinity Bridge was made accessible to the public in 2008. This bridge is accessible to the public for bicyclists and pedestrians in Stockton-on-Tees, England. The bridge is a dual-tied arch bridge, sometimes referred to as a bowstring bridge. One asymmetric pier is connected by a continuous set of steel arches of varying sizes.

The intriguing shape of the Infinity Bridge is created by the bifurcation of each arch into a double rib. Thanks to Expedition Engineering, one of the 200 companies that submitted a bridge design in 2004, the bridge will last for 120 years. Balfour Beatty became involved in the 2007–2008 construction project.
