The Henderson Waves Bridge is a two-year-old pedestrian bridge with a wave shape that was designed in 2004–2005 and constructed in 2005–2006. The nearly 900-foot pedestrian bridge connects Telok Blangah and Mount Faber in Singapore. Seven “wave spans” of the bridge mimic the ridge characteristics of the waves.

This striking bridge has an ethereal, lovely appearance at night thanks to its lighting, which is composed of swaying steel ribs. The Henderson is one of three new bridges constructed by Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority as part of a 5.6-mile recreational area. This recreational area was built by urban planners in order to profit from tourists.
