9. Borgata Maison

Place: Noasca, Italy
Period: (Year Abandoned) 1960s
Expense: Not specified
The abandoned remnants of a schoolhouse and chapel make up Borgata Maison. The small Italian village vanished from use in the 1960s as inhabitants moved to the metropolis for convenience, leaving only the wreckage of its former existence. Where Borgata Maison previously stood, there are a few buildings that are in very good shape and some that are completely unrecognizable.

Because the little chapel’s walls still have murals on them, it has managed to survive in a respectable condition. A lot of hikers frequent Borgata Maison because of the hiking trails that run through the property. Hikers can stray from the path to catch a peek of this creepy, deserted settlement.
