Unfortunately, you may no longer visit the spooky Summit Greenhouse in Summit, New Jersey, as it was demolished in 2018 for safety reasons. The demolition cost between $5,000 and $50,000 in 2018. The enormous greenhouse was somewhat of a mystery, but based on the dates found on the bricks used in its construction, most people believe it to have been created in the 1920s.

Summit was abandoned in the 1970s, based on the equipment and artifacts found within the greenhouse. As intended, the greenhouse’s initial occupants, whoever they may have been, abandoned it to succumb to the forces of nature. It was a popular destination for tourists interested in exploring eerie, otherworldly East Coast ruins until 2018.
