The restaurant was constructed in the Oakland, New Jersey-inspired Paramount style, which was a popular architectural design for diners. Sadly, the now-famous vintage diner closed its doors in the 2000s after decades of operation. The Hartford Preservation Alliance is currently fighting nonstop to prevent the demolition of this deserted landmark.
