Modern air defence systems’ eyes and ears, airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft are the height of aerial surveillance technologies. To offer until unheard-of situational awareness, these sophisticated platforms mix powerful radar systems, communication suites, and battle management tools. These flying command centres have transformed modern combat and air defence tactics from spotting stealth aircraft to organising sophisticated air operations. The nine most effective AEW aircraft that have impacted military aviation history are investigated in this paper.
1. Boeing E-3 Sentry (AWACS)

The E-2, with its somewhat tiny size, can track over 2,000 targets concurrently and manage more than 40 intercept missions. Its sophisticated electronics suite covers cooperative engagement capability, Link-16 data exchange, and satellite communications. Operating from aircraft carriers, the aircraft is a great advantage for naval operations since it offers vital observation and battle management features in maritime surroundings.
