The royal family gets a lot of gifts all year, especially during the holidays and when pregnancies are on the horizon. But it’s highly doubtful that someone would give a member of the royal family a PhD thesis—that’s too unconnected to the family!

TIME magazine covered this story, revealing that an anonymous donor had submitted a well-written PhD thesis to Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, who are now King Charles and Queen Camilla. We’re not sure what the royal family would have done with it because it’s such an odd gift!
