Egypt is the origin country.
Among the oldest dog breeds on this list is the Saluki. It was bred from sighthounds, which are its direct ancestors. Dogs that hunt mostly by sight rather than scent are called sighthounds, and this makes them special. Sighthounds were first employed in the Fertile Crescent in the BC era. They went hunting with wandering tribes.

Among the first animals to be domesticated were sighthounds. The modern Saluki is renowned for its prowess in the field of hunting. It has a top speed of 43 mph. Salukis are renowned for having a reserved, quiet, and distant demeanor. It can live for as long as fourteen years.
The Saluki may not be as fit as other hunting hounds, but it still enjoys running around, so stock up on toys from pet shops (or big-box stores like Walmart or Target). The Saluki may appear smaller than other dogs, but that is just their natural build.
