Originally, Rottweilers were developed as working dogs. In addition to pulling butchers’ carts, they would drive animals to the market. Among the original police dogs, rottweilers were and are renowned for their bravery and alertness. They still serve alongside people in the military, fulfilling a similar duty.

Although they have a terrible reputation, Rottweilers make excellent pets if they are socialized from a young age. While some Rottweilers are goofy, others are quieter. The weight limit for males is 130 pounds. This breed of dog is fiercely protective of humans and other dogs.
