“Posture Queen”
The Michigan Chiropractic College hosted the “Queen of Posture” competition from 1955 to 1969. The candidates’ spines were examined using X-rays and other rigorously scientific methods to determine how perfect they were. The picture features Diane Stopka, a St. Louis native who won the 1957 competition.
