The worst are fleas. Despite your best efforts to keep them out, they can occasionally manage to get in. Given the harsh chemicals found in flea shampoos, it is understandable that many pet parents are looking for alternatives. Since coffee grounds can repel fleas, they are a good substitute for these harsh poisons.

After giving your pet a wash, gently brush coffee grounds through its coat. Only a cup or two of discarded, dried coffee grounds will do. Work them all the way through to the skin, through the fur. Your pet’s fur will be silky smooth, and the grounds will kill the fleas. It’s crucial to remember that the coffee scrubs could be dangerous for your dog to consume, so use caution.
