91. Prosthetic Ear

Found at: Estate sale, Sylacauga, AlabamaValue: $10*Hear us out – you won’t want to miss this one. Estate sales are glorious things, although it’s always slightly sad considering they usually happen after someone has passed. Some people accumulate all sorts of things over the course of a lifetime, including items like this prosthetic ear.

Prosthetic ear @weirdandmorbid / PinterestIt looks like it’s seen (or heard) better days, but there’s no denying that it caught the attention of one thrifter. Was it actually used by the previous owner, or was it just a gag gift that sat in the drawer for years, only to be discovered decades later? We have no way of knowing, but it certainly didn’t belong to Van Gogh.

92. Long Chair

Found at: Pasadena City College Flea Market, Pasadena, CAValue: $300*Just like art, furniture is an acquired taste. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to home decor. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that this oddly-shaped red chair has a certain charm. When it was new it probably cost hundreds of dollars – it has that designer vibe to it.

Long chair @ebaumsworld / PinterestWe don’t know what it was priced at when it reached the Pasadena City College flea market, but let’s hope that some unsuspecting freshman got themselves a bargain. You can get away with funky furniture as a student without people looking at you strangely, but not so much as an adult.

93. Denim Footrest

Found at: Unknown thrift storeValue: $100*If there was any doubt that the wonderful world of novelty furniture is alive and well, then this denim footrest clears that up entirely. Crafted from leftover bits of denim clothing and neatly tied up with a belt, it certainly looks the part. We just don’t know what “the part” is supposed to be.Denim Footrest @bilgialorg / PinterestEither way, it’s a unique find that could have made some eclectic soul very happy. Justin Timberlake circa 2002 would have snapped this up in a hot second. We don’t know where it ended up, but let’s hope it found a forever home.

94. Bone Throne

Found at: Midway Antique Mall, Columbia, MOValue: $200*Chairs are everyday necessities that we all own, but most of us like to actually be able to sit in one without it feeling like a literal pile of bones. The designer of this chair had other ideas. This creepy piece was found in Midway Antique Mall in Columbia, MO. We can only hope those are animal bones.

Bone throne @weirdandmorbid / PinterestThe seat looks padded enough, but the arms? We’ll take a hard pass on perching in this strange contraption. That being said, there is a certain genius to the design that can’t be ignored. We still don’t want to sit in it, but admiring it from afar will do quite nicely.

95. Hammer

Found at: UnknownValue: $10*Ever since Chris Hemsworth’s Thor catapulted onto our screens over a decade ago, there’s been a strong market for all things Asgardian. It’s just not very often that things like Thor’s hammer pop up in thrift stores. When one Marvel fan spotted this for just $10, they snapped it up.

Hammer @rpogupfm / PinterestIt was only when they got home that they discovered it wasn’t just any old hammer of the Gods. It’s actually a very cleverly designed case that unlocks to reveal a normal, useful standard hammer. It’s essentially a DIY tool on steroids.

96. Tiny Knife

Found at: Garage SaleValue: $5*Crafting tiny objects is no joke. You may think that the smaller the object, the less work that has to be put in. That’s not the case. The craftsmanship and skill it took someone to create this minuscule knife are almost awe-inspiring – even if it is entirely useless.

Tony Knife @funnydoma / PinterestOne person found this at a garage sale and simply had to have it. It’s not hard to see why. After all, if a war breaks out between the pixies and the fairies that live in the garden, then one of these might come in very handy indeed.

97. Whisk

Found at: Unknown thrift storeValue: $40*Whisks come in handy for a variety of things, from making scrambled eggs to whipping heavy cream – but what about this whisk? This item could probably do a lot of damage, or at least come in useful when making a giant birthday cake.

Whisk @outofthisplace / PinterestIt’s the kind of object that is seldom seen, so even if this thrifter didn’t need it, they had to have it. Who knows, they could have ended up selling it to a restaurant or a bakery for double the price. That’s the magic of thrifting, friends – there are plenty of eggcellent choices.

98. Bean T-Shirt

Found at: Unknown thrift storeValue: 10 cents*Paying 10 cents for anything is a darn good deal, but paying 10 cents for a t-shirt that represents your real life? That’s the kind of bargain that comes around once in a blue moon. This lucky thrifter happened to find this “Where you bean all my life” shirt at a local store on the very same day she was canning beans.

Tshirt @tlrapalee / PinterestIf that’s not serendipitous, then what is? For 10 cents it was an absolute no-brainer – or should we say, no-beaner. There’s a lot to be said for a good pun, especially when it comes to canned foods and fashion.

99. Guitar Table

Found at: Car Boot SaleValue: $100*Sometimes, crafters decide that designing their own furniture is the way to go. In many cases, it’s a great idea. Take this incredibly interesting guitar coffee table, for example. It’s not to everyone’s taste, but for music lovers, it could be the holy grail of apartment furniture.

Table @Trip_Mix / PinterestThe necks act like legs, while the guitars themselves can hold whole bottles of wine. That’s double-tasking to the max. One thing is for sure, no matter who picked it up, they’ve got themselves one truly unique piece of woodwork that strikes just the right chord.

100. Money Clock

Found at: UnknownValue: $20*There are some things in life that should never be combined, like money, a toilet seat, and a clock face. This design is so off-the-wall that it’s difficult to imagine just who would come up with such a thing. Perhaps someone had a little too much time on their hands while they were on the throne.

Money clock @LifesPrism / PinterestEither way, the resulting product exists and it eventually found its way to a thrift store. We would love to know where it is now, but something tells us we’re not going to become “privy” to that information any time soon…

101. Wedding Dress

Found at: Charity ShopValue: $34*We’d like to think that someone’s wedding went so well that they decided to donate the evidence of that happy day to charity, but that’s probably not the case, unfortunately. One lucky bride-to-be benefitted from another’s misfortune when she purchased an expensive dress for cheap from a local charity shop.

Money clock @LifesPrism / PinterestThe dress cost just $34 from the secondhand store, though it was valued at $2,158 in another actual boutique. You can tell from the expression on the bride-to-be’s face that she knows she lucked out on finding such a beautiful, delicately embroidered dress for such a low price.

102. Cheapest Wallet Ever

Found at: Thrift StoreValue: $200*One thrift store shopper was poking around the store to find a cheap wallet, when he stumbled upon one with a hidden surprise in it. The shopper posted his photo on Reddit, where everyone remarked how lucky he was to benefit from someone else’s carelessness.

Cheapest Wallet Ever @5minutecraftsfamily / PinterestWe can’t imagine why someone would pawn their wallet without checking it first, but that’s exactly what happened. The cheap thrift store wallet yielded four $50 bills, making this an expense that definitely paid off. Let’s hope the money isn’t counterfeit and someone isn’t trying to get rid of it, though that would make for an interesting thriller movie plot.

103. T-Rex Phone

Found at: Thrift StoreValue: $5-$10*Sadly, we were unable to find this T-Rex phone on Google Shopping, though it’s a nice addition to anyone’s home. Now, landlines feel as ancient as the dinosaurs, but there’s still a use for them. One thrift store shopper found a quirky T-Rex telephone for sale, featuring a little rock keypad and a corded phone attached to a fearsome toy dinosaur.

T-Rex Phone @klykercom / PinterestWhile we also couldn’t find a T-Rex phone on Amazon, we did find a T-Rex phone holder for $13.99. It’ll hold your far more advanced, modern-age cell phone, along with pens, pencils, and whatever else you need to store.

104. Like A Knight

Found at: Thrift StoreValue: $52*When you think of suits of armor, you might think of creepy old castles or art museums. You probably don’t think of a suit of armor as your own personal toilet paper valet, but one thrift store shopper discovered an item that was exactly that. It looks like, judging from the picture, they bought it, too.

Money clock @LifesPrism / PinterestThe little half-knight holds a roll of toilet paper out for each bathroom guest. People looking for something similar can head to Amazon, as Design Toscano makes a lookalike for $52. You can also buy a toilet paper holder shaped like a dragon or a gargoyle.

105. Double Broom

Found at: Thrift StoreValue: $125*One person’s loss was another’s gain with this purchase, according to shopper Anna Moore. When Moore saw another person post about this double broom, she realized they only posted about seeing it at a thrift store—they didn’t buy it. She quickly found out where they got it and snagged it for herself, leaning it up against a wall of her house as a unique, practical art piece.

Broom @boredpanda / PinterestA Google search reveals that the concept of a double-broom relates to weddings. On African-Weddings.com, double “Heritage Wedding Brooms” are sold for $125, which is probably around this item’s near original value, before it was thrifted.
